Day/Time

Most classes are held one night per week (5:30-9:30pm) for 10 weeks

Graduation Requirements

Maintain 3.0 GPA and ten courses of which a minimum of eight must be Tax

Program Requirements

A total of 10 courses are required to complete the MST degree.

BUS 223A: Tax Research & Decision Making
BUS 223B: Taxation of Partnerships
BUS 223C: Taxation of Corporations and Shareholders
BUS 223F: Tax Accounting Periods and Methods; and either
BUS 223D Seminar in Tax Planning & Practice -or- BUS 223E: Business & Tax Aspects of High Technology

Five elective courses are required of which at least three must be tax courses. No thesis is required.

Cost

$1200 for a 3-unit semester course.

85% part time are working full time in industry, public accounting or government.
15% full time are choosing to specialize in tax for a future career.

Tax Faculty

Full time faculty with prior tax experience with firms, industry and government.
Part time faculty from Big 4 accounting firms and law firms who teach specialized courses in their area of expertise.
Faculty have written over 100 professional articles and book chapters; serve on various professional editorial boards; and actively serve in professional and academic tax organizations.

Professionals with a Masters in Taxation

If you have an LLM or MST you may take unlimited number of courses; other non-matriculated students may only take 2 courses (6 units) prior to matriculation.
