Accounting Periods and Methods
Bus 223F Definition and requirements of alternative accounting methods, including IRS requirements to change from one method to another; special methods and inventory valuation and reserve issues; software and R&D tax accounting rules.
Prerequisite: Graduate Standing. 3 units

State and Local Taxation I
Bus 225F Franchise and Income Tax Aspects of California and Foreign Corporations including allocation and apportionment, multi-state tax compacts, Nexus, and unitary tax.
Prerequisite: Graduate standing. 3 units

Thursdays 6/22- 8/10 and Saturday 7/15 & 8/5.
Taxation Policy
Bus 297D Capstone Course that will cover tax policy issues in a variety of areas such as international, domestic, state and local, high tech, financial services, manufacturing, real estate; at least 30% of your grade will be written project.
Prerequisite: Graduate standing. 3 units
Instructor: Larry Langdon, Tax Partner Mayer Brown and former IRS LMSB Commissioner
Cliff Jernigan, renowned author on tax policy.
