Professors Anne Lawrence and Joyce Osland win awards from the Academy of Management

The College of Business is delighted to announce two new faculty awards.
Professor Anne Lawrence's recent case, entitled “Google, Inc.: Figuring Out How to Deal with China”, was the winner of the 2007 “Dark Side” Case Writing Competition co-sponsored by the Critical Management Studies Interest Group and the Management Education Division at the Academy of Management. The case was developed with the support of a Lucas Fellowship in 2006-07 and is going to be published in the Harvard Business School case collection later this year.

Professor Joyce Osland's showcase symposium, entitled “The Brutal Facts of Global Leadership Development” was recently rewarded with the Management Education & Development Division’s “Global Forum Best Symposium” award. The awarded team was comprised pf professor Joyce Osland and other national and international colleagues: Mark Mendenhall, Schon Beechler, Allan Bird, Michael Hill, and Norihito Furuya. The showcase was sponsored by the International Management, Management Education and Development and Management Consulting divisions.
