The Department of Marketing and Decision Sciences within the College of Business offers a new Certificate Program in Decision Sciences. The program offers a great opportunity to gain knowledge and computer skills regarding basic and intermediate levels of management science disciplines, such as optimization, simulation, statistics, and decision analysis.

Although targeted to Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, and Engineering students, the program is opened to all San Jose State University (SJSU) students, undergraduates and graduates.

Earning this certificate will benefit the student primarily by facilitating an enhanced career path. Initial job offers may be at a higher level, or higher paying positions which require more technical expertise. For students already on their way in the working world, the certificate may be the basis for promotions or responsibility extensions based on their enhanced ability to analyze and make better decisions in a systematic and rational way.
