MBA Association raises money for the China Earthquake Relief Fund

The MBA Association set up a table outside the business classrooms last week and collected over $900 for the China earthquake relief fund.

Andy Liu, MBAA Vice President of Finance/Treasurer, was the guiding force behind this effort: Andy created the idea, got approval to hold the fundraising event, staffed the table every day and every evening during Finals Week and even donated $200 himself. "I know I cannot help save lives in Sichuan, but I know our SJSU students and faculty want to help. So, I started the MBAA China earthquake relief fundraising."

The club raised $931.86, which was matched by Google for a total of $1,863.72. All funds will be deposited to the China Red Cross without any transaction fees.

Thank you to faculty, staff and students who donated to this cause. And a really big thanks goes to Andy Liu who volunteered his time and energy to make this funding drive a huge success.
